So I’m going into my senior year of high school and I’ve only taken one SAT so far. But I also want to try to take an ACT. There is one on September 12th and another one on October 24th. I also want to retake the SATs which would be on October 3rd. So, if I choose the September date, I would have 1 month to study for acts and 3 weeks to study for sats. If I choose the October date, I would have roughly 2 months to study for sats but only 3 weeks to study for acts. However, also taking consideration from the stressful upcoming school year, my hard classes this year would be ap bio and ap comp sci. Do you guys think September would be a harder month considering me having to get used to the swing of things or would October be harder because of more work load?
Please give me your opinion on my dilemma! I’m an over-thinker I know!
Another thing to consider is that lots of colleges have a priority date for applicants. To be giving first consideration and avoid the dreaded wait list, I think you would want to take the ACT and the retake SAT ASAP to meet these deadlines. I don’t think doing well on either test is so much about studying. You probably know everything you need to know to do well on the test. But it is important to make time to practice and work out a strategy on how best to approach the test. Good luck.
yes that is very true. And yes the only way I get better at tests like these is to practice which is why I want to give myself the most but efficient time allotted before the priority deadline which is november 1.
