When should I take Physics?

Right now I am a sophomore who is deciding what to take junior year. I was recommended for Chemistry Honors and I want to take it since I am going into the science field. I also really want to take physics. Everyone says that I am practically killing myself if I take physics and chem honors together because chem honors is a very hard class. If I don’t take AP physics next year, I would take it senior year but that clashes with AP Bio and that class is even harder. I could take regular chemistry with AP Physics junior year but I don’t know if colleges like to see that I took an honors class.

So basically I could do three things:
Take Chemistry Honors and AP or regular Physics junior year
Take regular Chemistry and AP or regular Physics junior year
Take just Chemistry honors junior and take AP Bio and AP or regular physics senior year.

What should I do??

Chem Honors + AP Physics. In fact, try to do AP Chem + AP Physics if it’s possible.

You can handle these courses along with all your other courses with proper time management and not giving up when you don’t understand something. Also, I can tell you like science, so it can also be enjoyable as well! And you want to learn as much science as possible before going to college! Good luck!

As your GC whether you’d be allowed to “drop down” from Honors Chem to Regular Chem and under what conditions. Register for Honors Chem and AP Physics 1 if it’s possible to “drop down” for Chem (or to Honors Physics).
