When should I take the SAT?

<p>I'm in 8th grade, my first year of high school, and I was wondering when should I first attempt the SAT.</p>

<p>I would suggest if you really wanted to get ahead, start doing practice exams since you are eager now. You don’t have to take the SAT, they have PSAT tests and sample tests that you can do. Take a lot of practice tests and then take the SAT’s when you’re in 10th or 11th grade. At that time, you should know a good amount and will still have time if you want to re-take the exam.</p>

<p>Many take the PSAT sophomore year and possibly again junior year, and the true SAT junior year and possibly senior year.</p>
