As an incoming first year, I’d like to know if I have to buy a carpet, fridge, etc.
Simple question, probably not a simple answer. I just need to know when I can really start my expensive end of college shopping. Thanks

People will be more likely to have these answers in the Facebook group, and you’ll likely get a faster response.
But in any case I would regularly check portal to see if the information is posted (I also vaguely remember the date being posted somewhere within portal, so it might be useful to check for that).
Don’t worry about buying things! In my experience, it’s much more efficient to buy things when you get to campus (especially if you’re from out of state). There are all the stores you need nearby, and Massachusetts has decently low sales tax, so it might even be cheaper!

As for buying stuff, I’d really rather have most things I need before I get there. I’m driving from Connecticut, so I don’t mind taking it all with me. I’m just an little neurotic about being prepared :))
