When submitting the SAT Subject Tests...

I took the regular SAT a year ago and scored extremely poorly on it. I since have studied hard and scored well on the ACT and plan on only submitting it.

My question is, if I send the my SAT II scores (I plan on taking Math II) will they see that very poor score on the SAT, or are the Subject Tests and the SAT treated as separate entities?

Thanks

So is your SAT score sent when you submit your Subject Test scores?

With score choice, you can choose which scores colleges can see :)

the only schools that will see your regular SAT scores will be those that you chose to send scores to on test day.

as for the SAT IIs, you send those separately and your SAT Is wont be seen when you send them

I looked at the Score Choice Tutorial at Collegeboard, but haven’t really sent any tests yet so I’m not sure.

I assume you did NOT select a college at time of testing (to receive scores)?

I believe you use “score choice” by DATE of full SAT, and by SUBJECT for subject tests.

The tuturial didn’t seem to address SAT IIs, so I’m not sure. But it LOOKS like you’re given a list of all your scores. You enter a college name, then go through and select scores…and send. So you SHOULD be able to select ONLY your SAT II scores.

Keep in mind though that NOT ALL COLLEGES allow you to use Score Choice.

Also - you high school might send them in. Our school sends in ALL the scores they received (just found this out…I’m sort of in shock because we might have withheld scores if we knew that).
