I am a Senior (Canadian) living abroad. I am interested in applying to major schools like McGill, Toronto, Queens, UBC etc.

Do all of the Canadian schools employ rolling admissions? When do we start to apply for 2012 admissions?

Am I in the right place? (Is this forum only for Canadians applying to US schools?)

My brother started to apply to schools in November-December of 2010 for the 2011 admissions year. He got his first acceptance by the end of December. Hope that helps!

Many Canadian schools use early admission scheme to give ‘conditional offer’ of admission (almost all of them are contingent upon your Grade 12 performance). They are in a way ‘rolling admission’.

For international applicants, most of the schools have Jan/Feb deadlines. For exact dates, check the individual schools.

Thanks Swimon & Azabhu.

Have people refused admission based on relatively poor Grade 12 performance?

^^Conditional acceptances are just that, conditional on your final grades being submitted via transcript in June. Any substantive changes from when you applied and there is the possibility of having your offer rescinded. No slacking off once the app is in! :)

Well, usually they just want you to keep your average over a certain percentage. A friend of mine got into UofT with a 91% average, and for his conditional acceptance he only had to keep it over 80% to keep his acceptance and scholarship.
