Are we supposed to have bought our textbooks before the first day of school?

Im not sure but i think you can buy books, and then if you do plan on dropping the class in the first week or so, you can return the book for a full refund? is this true?

I usually wait until the class starts to get any of my textbooks. Some professors will tell you that the book is not required on the first day. I’ve had some professors say the bookstore got mad them, because they listed on their syllabus that the book was not needed.

Certain textbooks can be returned for full refund by a certain deadline. The cashier will notify you of the details before and after you purchase.

^ Same. I normally won’t buy a book till I’m absolutely sure it’s essential to the course.

if buying a textbook (there’s a difference between a textbook and a general book in the system) from the textbook store it’s based on the school quarter so returns allowed up to the friday of second week. after that it’s 24 hours. in some cases shrink wrapped books aren’t returnable if the shrink wrap is opened but most of the time it’s allowed as long as you have the sticker and the CD/special online code isn’t scratched/opened.
