When to get the SAT II study books?

I'll be taking Bio and USH SAT II's in June. I'm also taking the AP classes of those subjects. Should I get the books now to follow along with the class? What have you guys done? thanks

Another Q. What Biology and U.S. History study books do you guys recomend that will cover both the AP and SAT II tests?

For US history, use AMSCO. It's this very long, but very awesome review of American history that covers EVERYTHING you'll need for either test. I used it for both and got 5/800. It's amazing. I think it's specifically for the AP, but it can help for studying both because it has the specifics covered on the SATII as well as the more general stuff the AP is on.

I took the class/test last year, and I had the review books all year, but honestly I never gave them a second glance until a month before the test when I started reviewing people/terms/concepts. So it might be nice to have them, especially if your class isn't great or you think your teacher might not be on track, but I don't think they're necessary until you get into the hardcore studying right before the exams.

good luck :-)

one last bump

Use AMSCO for APUSH and CliffsAP for Bio. They cover all the material needed for the respective AP exams. I would get both of them now and use them throughout the year as review material. I used the books alongside my textbook to review for class tests. Sometime closer to your SAT II, go to the library or bookstore and look through the SAT II USH and Bio books to make sure there aren't any topic that are not covered in the AP curriculum (I know there are a couple for Bio).
