I’m currently have two math114 lectures on tuesday and thursday for 1.5 hours. I put the recitation for the course on Wednesday because I thought it fit nicely, but after looking at other people’s schedules, they usually have their recitation on either monday or friday. Would it be better to have my recitation on friday or monday because the recitation would be able to go over the material from both lectures (from the same week) instead of on wednesday where I would only be able to go over the material from tuesday and last thursday?
I did Wednesday recitation on a Tuesday / Thursday math class and was happiest that day. I don’t think you’ll really be disadvantaged; the recitations, as far as I know, plan to go over the same material. You might have to wait an extra week to review a topic or two, but it’s not like that’s going to adversely affect you. You can always go to office hours or get a tutor or something.
The choice is really up to you. I personally never wanted class on Friday, so the decision was obvious.
For a lot of math recitations the focus is on taking a quiz on the material, and since the quiz will most likely be the same/on the same material for both recitation days, you should be completely fine. I know in my recitation last semester we just went over the material from the week before. Plus, I’m the same way as Keasbey Nights since it’s never fun having an early class in DRL on Fridays.
Thank you guys!
