Hey guys, i'm currently a junior and am aiming for a 2280+ for my next SAT on June. My first time trying was january with 2050( CR640 Math740 Wr 670 8 essay), which was a disappointment, and until now i've had a pretty good grip of the SAT especially the CR part. I know that i can hit a 800 for math and 0-1 wrong on writing; however after doing Critical Reading in the barrons book today, i got so many wrong answers that i feel like i may not be ready to hit 2280+ on June yet. I have two months left to deal with improving my vocab, my CR and acing my school exams.
Do u guys think i should change the test date to october in order to be better prepared?

I’m in pretty much the same boat as you. Didn’t do as well on my March SAT as I did during practices. Could have gotten 800 on math and could have only missed 0-1 on the writing. I’m going to be retaking it in June. I feel like waiting until October would put too much of a time gap between test dates.

I would not base it on the Barron’s questions. Do a full-length SAT practice test under actual test conditions. You can Google the College Board 2013-2014 Official Practice Test. “Fake” questions from the books are less reliable. I would do that as soon as you can, preferably on a non-school day.
