When to retake SAT

I took the March SAT and got a 2100: 630 CR, 740 M, 730 W w/ 8 essay. I want to retake it to try and improve my critical reading and essay score. Ideally, I would like to retake it in June, but I plan to take the subject tests then, since I'll just recently have finished AP tests... so should I study hard this month and take the SAT again in May, or wait until October?

Any advice appreciated :)

What is your current practice scores? If the March score is significantly lower than you average practice score, you may get improved score in May with some more practice. However, if it is pretty much your current practice score, I would say prepare more in the Summer and retake it in Fall.

@kray24 I know you are not certain, but how many questions do you assume you got wrong on the Math to get a 740?

Study as much as you can and only take the test again when you really think you’re ready.

I raised 170 points from January to March (70 points on reading) so if you spend a lot of time from now to then doing reading you can get it to a 700 definitely…I say if you’re confidence with your practices on reading go for it…if not wait for october…your scores are solid now though

@kevin According to College Board, I missed 2 questions on the math section.

Thanks everybody!
