I am currently going into my 3rd year at my community college this fall and I want apply to ucb, ucsd, and uci for computer science (L&S for berkely).

When should I apply for the 2013-2014 term?

How far in advance should I start my application essay?

Are there any workshops that help you on your application?

Right now my GPA is 3.76 and after this fall, assuming that I get all A"s, I will be in the 3.8 range. CS classes taken: Java, C++, C++ 2.

[Let me google that for you](<a href=“LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You”>LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

everything you need is there.

smart a** comments not needed.
I’ve searched for a UC app workshop and found nothing. #2 is too specific and would be hard to find a solid answer.

calm, you’re sensitive lol.

2/as far as you can.
3/your cc’s transfer center.

looks like you got it handled

as soon as possible. The sooner the better

Go to your college’s career center and ask around or find their listing of workshops

Looks like ferrari beat me to it. I +1 his post!

HAHAHA! That was too good, Ferrari!

It’s about 3 weeks for TAG, and about 1 1/2 months for the actual application. Damn… That’s actually pretty close already. Maybe I should start thr TAG and write a couple of drafts already…

damn… Looks like I really need to get going on things. thanks guys

Remember to TAG in September, and you still have to do the normal application in November.

andrew, on the uc website it says “By participating in a TAG program, you can ensure your admission to a specifc US campus.”

My goal is to transfer to UCB, but they don’t have a TAG program. So I don’t know if it would be a good idea to TAG to another UC.

The two are completely independent. TAG to a backup school, in case you are not accepted at UCB, it will have no affect on your ability to attend Berkeley.
