When to submit applications.

<p>When I applied as a first year applicant, I submitted nearly all of my applications on or very close to their deadlines. I was wondering if it is beneficial to submit your applications early (for reasons other than it gives you more time to deal with things like missing documents). </p>

<p>If so, when should I be looking to get my applications for Fall 2011 in by? I think I'm only applying to 5 schools and I believe they are all on the common app, so I only need to write one essay and fill out the supplements, which will take some time, but not as much as if they all had their own applications.</p>

<p>The deadlines are all March 1st, except for NYU, which is April 1st.</p>

<p>I’m not aware of any advantage unless the schools evaluate transfer apps on a rolling basis.</p>

<p>Otherwise, most of them are slammed by freshman admissions and often don’t even begin to evaluate transfer apps until that storm has passed.</p>
