When to take the SAT I and SAT II?

Hi everyone, I'm a international rising senior student and I haven't really thought much about the SATs before.

I've only taken the May SAT I test and got an O.K. score, but I still want to retake it because I believe there's still room for improvement. Also, I want to take the SAT IIs because some of the colleges that I will be applying to require them.

The problem is that I only really have the October and November dates to take these two tests. Which dates do you guys think I should take each test? After reading the forums a bit, there seems to be a pattern of when to take the SATs (Januaray and May for SAT I and June for SAT II).

I'm currently thinking about taking the SAT I on October and SAT IIs on November because I feel I need more time to study the SAT IIs (our school don't follow American curriculum, so I need to self study a lot of the physics and chem). So do you guys think this is a good plan? Also, another question is: will colleges accept the December and January scores if I'm going to be a senior? (just in case I want to retake)

I hope you guys can help me out and I hope I don't sound too ignorant about the American SAT test process :D

Take the Subject tests in October and Reasoning test in November.
Why did you wait until now? It seems you are in a really bad time crunch.

I’m an international and almost everyone around me didn’t really want to go to the States and etc.

That’s why I’m behind on these because I wasn’t exposed to these things early enough.

One question though, why do you suggest subject tests in October and SAT Reasoning in November?

It takes longer to improve on a reasoning test than it does to master a subject test.

Well I actually took it before and I’m trying to improve right now. So I’m not exactly trying to “master” it, I already have some groundwork done.

Also, doesn’t it take longer (for me at least) to learn new concepts on the chem and physics section?

Um…are you disagreeing with me? It’s hard to understand what you are saying o_o

Err never mind that then…

Just another question, what’s more important? A retake of SAT I or the 3 subject tests?

I’m just wondering to see which ones to study more.

right now i think your biggest factor is time. if your sats are already up to par, you should put more effort into your sat2s. physics and chem are probably perhaps two tests that require long years learning. if you can, do math 1 or 2 and maybe one of the two you stated since it might be less burdening on you. but i dont know you personally so i wouldnt assume on your standards :)
