When will Chancellor's Scholarship applicants hear back about their applications?

<p>Is there a universal date when the invitations to the scholars' weekend is sent out? When is that date?</p>

<p>Or is the decision made on a rolling basis, like the regular college applications?</p>

<p>I believe it's rolling. The confirmation email said that the selection committee hopes to begin interviews January. The website says Chancellor's scholarships recipients are notified by April 15.

<p>So should ds call since he hasn't received an email saying that acknowledging Pitt's receipt of his materials (they were due 11/19), or should he wait until after Christmas to call, since it seemed that most of last year's students got an email after Christmas?</p>

<p>I think Pitt sends an email to confirm receipt of the application soon after they receive it but it takes much longer to hear about the interview. He might want to follow up them. Did he get delivery confirmation at the post office? If so he can check online to see if it's been delivered.</p>

<p>Mine was due Dec. 7 and I have already received a confirmation of reception. I would not expect a yea or nea on the interview for a while though. I think starting in January.</p>

<p>My son's was due on Dec. 8 and he received email confirmation last week. I believe the email said they would let him know if he gets the interview via email and snail mail but if it is thumbs down -- it would be via snail mail only.</p>

<p>My ds called to find out what was up and found out that one of his teachers hadn't submitted the rec. I am so glad he called! The teacher sent in the rec overnight, so his app should be complete as of tomorrow.</p>
