When will e-mails/letters come if I'm in China?

I'm really anxious to know when they'll come, so that I know when to check... (and so that I won't be wasting a whole afternoon on March 10th refreshing my e-mail page waiting for an e-mail that is not going to come until March 11th)

But does anyone know the exact time that it'll be in my inbox? (the emails) I might stay up =P
Otherwise, I'll check first thing in the morning on March 11th.

As for the letters.. I'm pretty sure those will be at least few days late. D: The post-delivery here is awful... Choate sent a viewbook sometime in November after I submitted the inquiry, and for some strange reason, I didn't find it until last week (that's 2 or 3 months late!). So I'm really worried now.

PS: China is GMT +8.

Depends on the school. A lot of the schools wait till 3 pm Eastern Time so all of the kids are out of school, but some schools post at like 6 am on March 10th, which is GMT-5, so it would be like 7 in the evening China time. There’s a whole forum up on how schools notify acceptances, if you’d want to check it out. I think they mention China there too. Good Luck!

I remember waking up at 3am to check my email, and then again at 7 to find the rest.

My parents woke me up at about 6 am with decisions from most of the schools.

They woke you up march 10th or march 11th in the morning?

@PreppyDude123

Which forum??

@seikuu and swampedwithwork

Did you wake up that early on March 10th or March 11th? (same question as Craysian…)

Just type in China, or acceptance packages or something related in the Forum search bar. I don’t think I’m sure what exactly it was… but my hunch is it will probably arrive on the 11th or a few days after. You’d probably get the email first though. But Andover does snail-mail only.
