Hey guys, I love Tulane and am definitely applying! I am under the belief that Tulane informs you of whether or not you are accepted rather fast.

Sadly, I don't think my guidance counselor will have all my things in (my app won't be complete) until a day or two before the deadline. With that being said, any idea when I would be informed of my decision?

Tulane has historically been pretty fast, but this year is an exception as they are being very careful not to get too many people enrolling. Their target is 1400 entering freshmen, because this year’s freshman class was originally 180 larger than they were targeting and ended up, after summer melt, to still be 130 over. This puts a strain on dorm space, and possibly other areas as well. Since Tulane requires both freshmen and sophs to live on campus, they have to take extra steps to limit enrollment this coming fall. One of those steps is to defer a lot of admissions decisions until closer to the April 1 deadline.

bummer. but thanks for the response

i was deferred. do you have suggestions on what I could to do to become accepted or when they will make a decision

scooby - see your other post.
