My D checked this morning, and it says the decision is in the mail. Hope we get it before Fri. We leave Fri to visit PSU and if by some twist of fate she doesnt get in, we don't have to make the trip. Of course we'd rather she get inand spend the weekend there.

yankeegirl- I don't think it's possible that your D could be rejected...it should definately be a safety for her.

That's what we are hoping. She looked at it as more of a match than a safety, but sometimes this whole admissions thing is a crapshoot, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Yankeegirl49, you might want to check your D's admissions stats on the undergrad admissions site. I'm a current PSU Schreyer student, and I sent in my application in late October and didn't get a response back until late January. The reason? I checked up on the undergrad admissions site and it said they never had received my SATs. A few calls corrected this and I got my letter the next week.

There are thousands and thousands and thousands of people sending their letters to the Shields Building, where the Undergrad Ads is located, and it's for all the branch campuses too. Very easy for stuff to get misplaced.

I just got my decision notice on the website earlier tonight.

JP..thanks. My D had been checking all along, and it always said "application is under review". She called on Monday, just to verify they had everythig, and they did. On Tues, the message changed to "a decision has been made, you will receive it in the mail. So now it's just waiting for it. Thanks for the advice though..
BTW..do you like Schreyer? My D only wants to go to PSU if she gets in.
