When will MIT release its Common Data Set (CDS)?

Hey all.

As you may or may not know, quite a bit of colleges post a CDS. The CDS has a ton of information and statistics regarding admissions, demographics, and financial aid, among other things.

The CDS is typically available immediately after admissions decisions, but I haven’t seen MIT’s for the 2015-2016 year yet.
The most recent CDS is last year’s. http://web.mit.edu/ir/cds/ A lot of other schools have theirs available already.

Anyone know if its typical for MIT to wait to release its CDS or know when it will be released?

Thanks.

Perhaps they are waiting until they finalize the class with waitlist, summer melt, etc. At any rate, they’ll release it when they release it. You could always just call them and ask.

I never knew of summer melt. That’s interesting.

I might call if the CDS isn’t out in 2 or 3 months.

Usually most colleges release sometime around the end of first semester.

It takes a long, long time to get all this data in order.

Thanks @MITChris .

With that definitive answer, I’m closing this thread. It will be available when it’s available.
