My son has completed all sections except the essay section. The help page indicated that at any stage the application can be previewed by pressing the preview button at the top maroon bar. So far all we see there are "Help, Account, Logout". Why are we not able to see the "preview" button? He was using google chrome. We tried in IE with same result.

Also on the signature section, when we eventually see submit (right now it doesn't show up as it complains about essay not being completed yet), if we hit it, will it submit the common app to all universities in the list or to only the highlighted university? thanks

Also do schools receive only the PDF we preview? it talks a lot about word truncation and how it is important to make sure everything fits in pdf preview. I would have imagined that somehow the application gets uploaded directly to school's database.

Usually you have to go into one of the inside tabs “future plans” or “activities” to be able to see it but im pretty sure it works on both google chrome and internet because i was able to use it on both and print preview it on both.

It is important for you to print preview it because ** only ** what comes up on the pdf version is what the adcoms will see. You have to read line by line to make sure you didnt miss anything.

As for the submission i’m pretty sure it will only send it to the highlighted university.

We could not find “Preview” using IE, but then we changed to Google Chrome and we could find it. Every section of the Common App does not have “Preview” either, if I recall. However, when you find “Preview” at the top of Academics or Activities and press it, then you see a print preview of the entire Common App (ie even including the parts like Demographics, which did not have a “preview” button at the top of their pages).
