“Decisions will be released the week of March 28” from the W&M admit it blog… so I guess we’ll have to start checking mailboxes monday!

Are they by snail mail or email?

e-mail. if you are accepted the e-mail tells you your snailmail is on the way.

Yes, all applicants receive notification via email which will be sent this week and we will make sure everyone knows that they are in your in-boxes once they have been sent.

Those admitted will get an email telling them that more information will follow by snail mail

Will we be informed of the exact date in advance? Or will we just be notified as the emails are being sent?

We will likely make posts to our website/blog/social media outlets/CC once the decisions are in your in-boxes

sounds like it is going to be a surprise

Will it be today or later in the week?

The vagueness, in my opinion, points to it being mid-week. Though today would be a pleasant surprise!

The wait is killing me. I don’t think I can wait until Friday! Please be midweek!

I guess no email today!

We promise that as soon as the decisions are in your in-box we will post that information to as many online sites as possible (social media feeds, our website, CC, etc). The wait is almost over.

How awful to make these kids wait and then send replies at 7:40 at night. My daughter applied to 10 schools and no one else did that. I suppose I wouldn’t care if my daughter had been accepted to W&M, but she was not. We visited, she shadowed a student for a day, she has great grades, an exceptional resume. Unfortunately, they accepted a student from our school district who has no intention of going there and she posted that on facebook - what a shame. My daughter was practically bleeding green and gold. So, now someone they offered a scholarship to won’t go and my daughter doesn’t get in. Oh well, some other school will be so lucky to get her. Congrats to all that were accepted.

“The wait is almost over.”

Does that mean that you will begin sending out decisions in minutes, hours, or days? From your post on the other thread, you note that the process requires more than a push of a button. But when will the process begin? And, how long does it take?

The process, assuming it goes according to plan, takes several hours to release all emails. We do not want to give an exact date/time in case there is a glitch or issue and we cannot deliver at the specified time as promised.

As soon as decisions are released and all emails have been sent we will let students know to check their in-boxes. We promise.

My friend called and said he got an email saying he was rejected. His last name starts with a B (maybe going alphabetically)?

So decision emails have begun to arrive? I guess the announcement will wait until the server has sent the final batch? If this is the case, we will stay up until my daughter receives word Nothing for my daughter yet…

yeah my friend just told me that they were rejected through email…last name began with F :/

Well, it appears CC users are on top of it and are likely to soon discover that we have begun emailing decisions. There is no specified time as to when all of them will hit. We expect it to take several hours but will post tonight when all decisions have been sent (and that assumes there are no glitches that arise) assuming that occurs at a reasonable hour.

Decisions are not released alphabetically. It’s simply about pulling data, loading it into our email system, sending out those emails, loading new data, sending out those emails and so on.

so they aren’t in order of rejected, wait-listed, accepted?
