To my knowledge (from UVA CDS), it looks like this is the first year that UVA offers a February 1st "priority deadline" for transfers. Does anyone have any thoughts as to what any perks would be for it? I will be applying for February 1st regardless, and I have my own theories, but I want to see what anyone else thinks.

Seriously? Now that I think about it, I think I saw this somewhere. I would presume they might start reading them on Feb 1, but that doesnt make sense because I've never really heard of a school like UVa reading applications early. Maybe because its such a short turn around. I'm still gonna ask, does that mean we need EVERYTHING in for the to start reading?

Darn, i'll email them and get back to you. Maybe this is a good time to dig up that transfer thread.

Hmm....oops
"Where did you see this about a priority date for transfer? I'd like to check it out. It's probably listed so we can get things processed more quickly. March 1 is absolutely fine-no difference in review at all. In fact, we won't start reading until late March.
I hope this helps.
Greg"

I've never heard of this February 1st "priority deadline" and neither have my colleagues. We just found it on a calendar on the website, but it's not on the transfer page and it's most certainly not on the application.

thanks for the clear up =)
