I was accepted to Siena, Buffalo, Sacred Heart and Fairfield but was wait listed at Marist. I'm pretty nervous for BU because it is my top choice and its basically the only one i care about. I mean, my SATs are pretty low (1100; SATII Spanish 770 and Math 560) but i have excellent teacher recommendations, my essays were ok, 3.7 GPA and am actively involved in a multitude of volunteer programs and extracurricular activities. I really don't know what my chances are, i think it could go either way for me.

and also, is it just me or is Marist being a little too picky with admissions this year?

BRIGHTSIDE09- my s is a sophomore at DePaul and loves loves loves it. He's from California and had never even visited Chicago before he landed there for freshman orientation- so keep it in mind!

I'm definitely keeping DePaul in mind, I really like the look of it, I'm really glad I applied. Although I do think it's strange that the mascot for a Catholic school is the Blue Demons. =) My friends and I are still trying to figure that one out...

If I get into BU though, I don't think it's a contest, I just enjoy Boston more than Chicago. But anything beats Columbus, Ohio after 18 years. =)

Today I had a dream that I woke up and found a BU acceptance letter in my bed. Then I woke up for real but still thought that it actually happened. It was really awesome for a moment but then I realized I still have couple more days to go. Sigh

So what do you do to keep yourself from going crazy these days?

Yeah, I go to the gym a lot. I also try to keep myself really busy at work, which isn't that hard to do. But sometimes I catch myself sitting at my desk in the office, staring out of the window and thinking 'What if I get in, what if I don't...?'

i found out that if you dont visit CC that often, you forget about checking the admissions status for a while.. (like a couple days)
but then you eventually remember and then you get anxious again.

^ Haha, I agree. Being on CC makes me more anxious because I check it every two seconds for any update, but it's really hard to actually stop visiting CC. XD

Luckily, it's spring break for me, so I'm in Washington DC for the week. I'm visiting museums and monuments and going on tours to stop me from freaking out.
