When will we hear from Cornell, Penn? etc.

Anyone know?

Those schools are suppose to be rolling for transfer applicants.

bump, curious about penn

Actually, Cornell's applications for transfers are due March 15th. They don't start reviewing or sending out letters until after that. Penn, I don't know.

Cornell and Penn are rolling for transfers.

So I'm not sure about whether that March deadline matters. But just a speculation.

I think the decisions are on a rolling basis after the beginning of May or so. I can't imagine they'd make decisions before reviewing the entire applicant pool.

Called Cornell and talked several times. Every different person assured me: We don't start reviewing or making decisions until March 15th. I've heard the rolling thing too, but I don't know where it comes from...

it's not rolling admissions, where did you get that information from?

Go to the human ecology site, it says it clearly right on the webpage.

Lastly, the decision
Please be patient. We understand that you're eager to hear our decision, and you will. We make transfer decisions on a rolling basis; that is, we make decisions as applications become complete. Often we need final grades for the current semester's classes. Please let us know your impending deadlines--and get final grades to us as soon as they're available.

Here, that is what it says.

There shall be no more doubts. haha, anyway, that's just for HE. Not sure about the other schools.

Penn is rolling because it says so on their website too.

I only spoke to people from CALS and CAS. But that's what I was told. shrug Besides...you couldn't send them in that much earlier then the 15th, since you need to send in your midyear report. So...that's that. I sent in my app at 8:30 this morning, weeeee

oh okay
you were talking about human ecology. :) I guess they're rolling then

btw good luck man.

thanks! same to u!

About the mid-year grade report form...
What if my school does not release any official grade (there really are no mid-term grades either) until the semester ends in mid/late May? When should I submit this form then? Wouldn't then be way too late? Does anyone know?

Your suppose to go to your professor have them write your grade down and sign it. I think that's how it works. My school doesn't release anything but final grades. So yep, that's my thinking.

Yeah...my first midterm is 3/14 - so I definitely won't have my grades in time for the 3/15 deadline!! The admissions office told me to go to my profs ahead of time and explain what I was doing and ask them to give me an approximate grade for the semester thus far - I'm actually going to start doing that tomorrow! Good luck to everyone doing the same!

That's what I thought too... But from somewhere in the application I got the image to send in the final grades once they are available, which will be served as the mid-term report. But what if it's impossible to figure out the grade to date? I mean after all it is due on 15th of March (correct?), which by then, barely half the spring semester has undergone.

for penn, my impression is that i go to my teachers on march 1st and have them put my grade down regardless of whether or not i've taken a midterm. i dont think i even have any midterms. hey, is anyone else trying to get in penn engineering?

I applied to Cornell last year (CAS) and didn't find out until May 5th, which was about what they told everyone. I'm not sure if it's different this year (or for each college), but that's when I found out (and all the other transfers here that I know, minus the garaunteed ones).

that's so long away...
does anyone have numbers on penn engineering transfer admit?
