Hi! I was wondering, if a college doesn't have an online application status checker, when would their decisions be mailed? A few of the colleges I'm applying to says that their decisions come out on December 25, but I'm nearly positive that there's no mail on Christmas. Would these colleges send out their decision letters before December 25 then? If so, approximately what date do you think that they'd send them out? I know that there's basically no way of knowing for sure when these colleges would send out the letters, I'm just wondering what your guess is. Thanks so much!

That completely depends on the school…Try posting on each school’s forum for this, or at least telling us which schools you’re talking about.
But who sends it out on the 25th?? Are you sure you didn’t misread the 15th, because that’s the most popular date for early notification.

Sorry, the schools are Fordham and St. Joseph’s - I just checked both of their websites again to make sure that I didn’t misread and they both have December 25 listed as their notification date for early action.

Yes, just what everyone needs, a rejection on Christmas Day; I wonder what mindless bureaucrat thought of that one. Absent on-line or email notification (did you provide one), you cannot get it and it cannot be sent Christmas Day (a Sunday) or the day after this year (the official day off and thus no mail).

Yeah, I thought that sending decisions on Christmas was a little cruel. Wait, do colleges send out decisions via email? I did provide an email on all of my applications. Would I end up receiving an email with a decision on Christmas then?
