When your first choice is your safety......

Our son doesn’t seem motivated to apply to a large number of schools. We’re going to visit University of Mississippi next month, and if the impression is positive it will most likely be his financial safety. Even if he falls in love with Ole Miss I think we’ll strongly encourage him to apply to a few more schools. I think Drexel is his first choice at this point, but the only way I see that being affordable is if whoever evaluates his National Merit data ignores the significant blemishes on his transcript and makes him NMF anyway. The first time I ran the NPC for Muhlenberg it looked very affordable, but a small change to the financials has made it look unaffordable ($30K per year).
