Just out of curiosity...Why there are so few posts on Tufts site? Is it because Tufts is not that famous so people post on somewhere?

Having noticed myself since perusing CC over the past year that the Tufts forum is low-key relative to others, I’m inclined to agree that there should be more energy, but my theory is that Tufts-ies–prospective and otherwise–might be less of a CC-type crowd to begin with.

By that, I mean possibly less obsessed with the whole “chance me”, status-mongering, rankings-focused ethos. Tufts is most certainly “famous”, though I believe underrated.

FYI, Tufts does appear quite a bit on other chances threads where multiple colleges are listed. It is arguably one of the most “chanced” schools, often appearing on lists with other New England colleges as well as other top US schools. And when chances are offered, you are more likely than you might think to see it listed as a reach.

Good luck with your ED app. My D applied ED last fall; just finished whirlwind of pre-orientation, orientation, friend-making, and first day of classes… and is loving every minute.

Part of the problem is that CC doesn’t consider it one of the “top colleges” so it’s more clicks to get to the folder. I don’t know why it isn’t on their lists since it’s higher ranked than many of the ones that do make it.

It gets mentioned a fair amount on the College Selection forum
It is still a pretty small school so there is less traffic???

For a small school it gets lots of traffic! The reason CC doesn’t list it as a “Top School” is because it doesn’t get as many “hits” as those listed. It is not based on education or quality…

If you want energy, Tufts already has a forum dedicated to that:

[Tufts Energy Forum (TEF) | Tuftsgloballeadership](http://www.tuftsgloballeadership.org/program/tufts-energy-forum-tef)

Which sponsers an energy conference:

[Tufts Energy Conference ? March 2-3, 2013](http://www.tuftsenergyconference2013.com/)

That includes a showcase with local firms looking to hire:

“The fourth annual Tufts Energy Showcase will also take place during the conference, during which nearly 20 local energy firms will present and share information regarding the local energy sector, and many of these firms will be looking to hire, Finger said.”

If you were a Tufts student, which forum would you rather expend your energy on ???
