I'm sorry; I'm a grammar freak. It will someday be my fatal flaw when I inadvertently correct a mafia member and then-- bullets. I see it all now, yes. (I'm really hoping you're not part of the mafia right now.)

And I'm from... well, you have to google it to find out, actually. But yeah, I'm also terrified it's going to be uber competitive this year and I am consequently screwed. Screeeewed. Which I suppose is obvious by my frantic, panicky "CHANCES BEFORE I IMPLODE" thread.

I'm up too late. Consequently, I'm a menace to society. I need to stop posting; I'm going to say something stupid pretty soon if I haven't already. Gyah. goes into lurk mode

Joycelene - I'm the copyeditor of my school newspaper, and when I return corrected proofs to people they tend to take one look at the page and curse under their breaths while I smile to myself and consider it a job well done. (Why, oh, why isn't there a demonic-looking icon?)

For whatever it's worth, I'm a RD applicant from Sweden currently residing in Washington, DC.

Oooh, very cool! :D

Um... for the essay saying what an applicant would gain from BMC and all that, is it supposed to be one page double spaced or single spaced? freaked :/

sorry i'm from Hong Kong. So English is my second language.

Oh, sorry, I didn't see that.

well, I am from Nepal and I will be applying as a RD pool applicant. All the best to those who are applying!!!

My D was accepted Class of 2011 ED1 - her "why Bryn Mawr" essay was one full page with 1 1/2 spacing (not double spaced)...Times New Roman 11. Good luck to all!

congrats to your D, momof2011! my D, too, was accepted ED1. her "why BMC" essay was also one full page with 1 1/2 spacing though i'm not sure which font she used.

momof2011, where is your D coming from? we are from NY state and my D attended a small public H.S.

fairburn...nice to hear from another Class of 2011 parent and congrats to your D! We live in Central NJ - about 1 1/2 hours from Bryn Mawr - we're just about 1/2 way between NYC and Philly. My D attends a public HS with a student body of 1,000 - which we think is on the smaller side. Where in NY are you? My early years were spent near Poughkeepsie, NY - down the road from Vassar College. My D is thrilled she will attend Bryn Mawr and it's so nice to have the process over with! Happy New Year!

momof2011, i sent you a private message. Happy New Year to you and everyone else visiting the Bryn Mawr discussion pages!

I am from Germany and I am applying RD. Good luck to all of you.

Lots of internationals on this thread...how fun. I'm from California. I'm applying regular decision, and I should really start on my essay. Best of luck everyone!
