Between these four universities, which would have friendlier, more outgoing people? Which tend to have more activities going on, or more of a party scene?

Thanks! :)

bumping a good question. I suspect that it depends on who you hang with, and nice people tend to hang out with nice people. :)

I can only speak for Stanford and Berkeley. I found pretty much everyone I approached at both universities to be friendly and more than willing to help out. As far as the social scene goes, Berkeley is known for its politics, and Stanford for its athletics. Students at both universities are outspoken and intelligent, of course, and I think their rivalry speaks to that – a social university just can’t reasonably have a rivalry with a bunch of recluses. I don’t know much of parties at either school. Stanford has a few wild annual frat parties, but so does every university. I do think there’s more of a unity at Stanford during football season than at Berkeley, but we’ll see how that holds up next year without Luck. Visit if you can!

Thank you so much for your great answer! I would love to come visit - I will soon :)
