where can I find internship oppurtunites?

Hello, I am going to 10th grade in the fall and I wanted to use my time wisely this summer. So I wanted to do an internship. Where can I find good internship opportunities? All suggestions are welcome. Thank you

@ACollegeP This is a great question – we have covered this topic in a College Confidential article, which you can find here:https://insights.collegeconfidential.com/search-tips-for-finding-a-summer-internship

As a 10th grader, you should try to get a job. Any job.
You want your first experience in working to be a low risk one…where you learn to show up on time, do the work you are told to do, get along with diverse teammates, deal with bosses.
Most businesses who want an “intern” want a college intern or probably at least a junior/senior.

Internships will be hard to come by this summer due to covid. Many, if not most, have been canceled, even for college students. Your best bet, as Bopper suggested, is to get a job this summer. That will be a bit easier to find.

For a future internship, your teachers and guidance counselors are usually good sources of information. If your high school has a “career night”, that’s an excellent opportunity to ask companies about their internships. Start asking early… at DD’s high school, January and February is about the right time. Even in a “normal” year, it is slim pickings by May and June.
