Where can I find people to carpool with to the Cal-UCLA football game?

The game is at Cal this year and I want to go. Problem is none of my friends want to go as I'm the only football fanatic amongst my friends. Is there a way I can find other students who want to drive up there for the weekend?

I don't wanna take a plane up there...so expensive omg...

Why do you have to go to Cal game only? If you are a UCLA fan, and don’t want to travel to away game, then just go to Rose Bowl for home game. (I mean, unless you are a Cal fan… )

Because I have a place to stay at in Cal and I would also be spending time with my friends who attend there. Elsewhere I would have to stay at a motel or something.

A plane ticket is only about $50 each way, which is probably cheaper than gas

My brother took Greyhound both times he went to games in the Bay Area

(Speaking for myself, but I do happen to work for UCLA Transportation)

I actually know an undergrad who takes Greyhound between UCLA and the Bay. He takes the Metro 2 to catch the bus in Hollywood. It’s about $50 each way ($65 for a refundable tix) and the upside is that you don’t have to make a reservation. It is 8 hours each way, though.

Another option is the California Shuttle Bus: [Bus From LA to SF : Bus From Los Angeles to San Francisco : Bus From San Francisco to Los Angeles : Bus From SF to LA : Bus to San Francisco : Home](http://www.cashuttlebus.com/). I haven’t tried it yet, but you can pick up the bus from Santa Monica.

The third option is to post a ride on Zimride ([Zimride](http://www.zimride.com/ucla)). If you register after September 1, you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a $50 gas card. I’m sure you’re not the only one who wants to go up to NorCal for the game.

The final option is to keep telling people you want to go. Word of mouth is amazing. Have a great time!

Join the Den student fan club, get to know people. Bum a ride.

Also get hold of the Bruin Rally Committee. They send up a good sized group to Cal for the game, and they do drive up.

[UCLA Rally Committee - Supporting Bruin athletics and continuing school traditions](<a href=“Student Organizations | UCLA Student Organizations, Leadership & Engagement”>Student Organizations | UCLA Student Organizations, Leadership & Engagement)

If you don’t have a ticket for the game (they go fast – I got mine the day they went on sale), rallycom can also provide you with a low cost ticket (they buy them, as Cal Rally Com does for when the game is down here) where you’ll sit with fellow Bruins.

If you have no luck with that, contact the UCLA Alumni Center (located next to the ticket center & Pauley Pav.) – the James West Center. A lot of us do go up and some of us (not me, at least not for this event) drive.

Good luck! It will be a fun game if the weather is good, and it will be the LAST UCLA/Cal game in Memorial Stadium for some time (they start the remodel next year).
