Where can i take AP test if i can't take at my school

My counselor told me that i can't take ap tests at school if i am not taking certain ap classes. She told me that that causes the confusion in school. idk why i can't take the test if i want to.

Where can i take ap tests? local community college?

I need advice from those people who self studied aps

thank you all

Well... you could contact another school, but I'm not sure they'd be crazy having a student from another school testing there. My school is fine with me taking APs without taking the class... but only 3 APs are offered here.

Contact the College Board and they'll give you schools in your area. I would do this ASAP, the local high school here wants to know by the end of Jan. so they have enough time to order the tests.

Registering for AP Courses & AP Exams

my schools allows me to do that.
anyways, go talk with the AP coordinator at ur school first. and if he/she says no, then contact collegeboard. just to make sure ur AP coordinator know about it. he/she might help sometimes.

They don't want you to take the test at your school if you are self studying because they are afraid you'll mess up the stats for the school. If it is offered at your school, you can take it at your school- you'll just have to pay. Have your parents call and talk to the AP coordinator. Mention equity and access- those are the College Board's key words.
