Where can I transfer to???? help.

Hello, so I really need help on where I should apply. I don't know whats realistic and what is a safety as far as transfer admission goes. Any help, suggestions, comments, anything would be appreciated. I've posted a few times before but have not gotten any responses, so I'm hoping I get some after this post! I figured "transfer students" would be the appropriate forum to post my question in.

Stats:
High school GPA 2.5 (yes I know this is awful..but due to the circumstances I was experiencing at the time this is what happened. I have an personal essay to back it up, but I don't know if that will help.
Was involved in extra curriculars
22 on the ACT

currently taking classes at BC night school. I am a second semester freshman, current college GPA is a 3.5..

What do you think? What would be some realistic options for me?

It really depends on your major and where you are residing.

Some colleges you might apply to might not ask you for your High School transcript and SAT or ACT scores which is evident to the UC's in transferring. I'm also a current freshmen but at a California Community College, had a 2.7-8 GPA in High School, lots of EC's (ranging from sports, clubs, community service, and etc.) and still doing them, working while attending school from HS to CC, and a current GPA of 3.5.

Just continue doing what you are doing or better and change that "was" in your extracurriculars and make it into "still". GPA is not the main factor in the admission process but it is something that is important. If you're applying for junior standing, the college you might be applying to will most likely not look at your HS and Scores but will focus on your recent College years.

If you can make up your High School past with some good grade trends, a great application, and some EC's that can make you stand out. Then you'll have a good chance.
