why dont you list the schools your interested in, b/c you primarly seem to be concerend with only ivies ........ there are a lot of other schools besides ivies.

your hs record matters a lot more until u reach 60 units, after that it matters less but to some schools it still matters, i belive all the ivies will still review your hs record and your act/sat scores regardless of how many units u have in colelge.

My point is, if I get a, hypothetically, 3.8+ here, why would it matter what I got in high school? A 3.8+ proves that I am extremely proficient at college work plus a 35 ACT is near-perfect so um....explain?

Feel free to go ahead and pretend that high school never existed then.

That's only one year of grades. If you look at freshman admissions, schools usually look at 3 years worth of work (and some look at 4)...fresh/soph/jun or soph/jun/sen. With one year of college done, they'll still be wanting to see how you've done over a period of time so they will probably consider your last two years of high school and 1st of college. If you go to college for two years first, they'll only probably look at your senior year grades. Dunno if that makes sense in "breakin it down" but they like to see grades over time. Anyone can go to a decent college and get a 3.8+ if they work their a** off, but are they going to continue to be that way once they get to their goal? By seeing grades over several years, they can get a better idea of your character and determination.

Thanks. That makes sense.
