Best of Luck to you!

UCR is ranked 94th in the nation so it is a top 100 school and it’s ranked higher than U of Utah, U of Oregon, Oregon state, and many other state flagships.

UC Riverside is the 4th oldest UC, yet it is ranked as the 8th best UC. Christ, Governor Earl Warren approved construction of the initial UC Riverside campus, what, like 60 years ago, how long does it take to get their act together?

“Christ, Lincoln freed the slaves like 130 years ago, how long does it take to get your act together?” -Derek Vinyard, American History X

According to [University of California - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](University of California - Wikipedia), UCR is the sixth oldest UC campus, not 4th.

Check it again, UCRUCR, Berkeley-1868, UCLA-1919, UCSB-1944, UCRUCR-1954, UC Davis-1959, UCSD-1960, UCI-1965, UCSC-1965, UC Merced-2542.

Where is UCSF on your list? And UC Davis was founded in 1908.

UCM is founded in 2542? Do you even proofread your post? Palm face

i agree with UCRUCR on this one. lol!

I’m not sure where the stereotype comes from either. One guy I know is going to UCR and although he had a 2.8 GPA and no EC’s whatsover he was like the smartest guy I ever knowed. Like, he can tell you what 2160 times 10 is in like 2 seconds easily. If not for declined admittance, he could easily have gone to UCLA , berkeley, or SD or harvard schools.

WHAT! You want to go to a better college UCRUCR? Learn to listen. I didn’t put UCSF because the discussion is about UCR’s horrible undergraduate program. Why would I put a UC with only graduate programs on that list? It’s irrelevant to this thread. Second, UC Davis was originally a low-rent, disorganized, redneck institution called the University Farm before it became a UC in 1959. Please. So take your head out of your ass.

I do apologize for the UCM mistake, however. The established date is so recent I must have thought it’s inception was in the future.

“What! You want to go to college, Davina? Learn to listen. l didn’t say l respect the laws. l acknowledge a cop’s authority. l don’t respect laws that let Rodney King back on the street. Second, l am not, as you well know, a member of a low-rent… disorganized bunch of rednecks like the f**king KKK. Please. So take your head out of your ass.” -Derek Vinyard, American History X

“about UCR’s horrible undergraduate program.” I really beg to differ on this statement. I never knew that being a top 100 University was considered horrible.

Actually that wasn’t your argument before. Your statement was this:

“UC Riverside is the 4th oldest UC, yet it is ranked as the 8th best UC. Christ, Governor Earl Warren approved construction of the initial UC Riverside campus, what, like 60 years ago, how long does it take to get their act together?”

Where in that paragraph did you mention about undergraduate program?Secondly, do I care about the history of UCD? No. Did I ask you for a history lesson? No. I simply stated, according to wiki, UCD was founded in 1908 and had their first class in that year.

***I do apologize for the UCM mistake, however. The established date is so recent I must have thought it’s inception was in the future. ***

your apology doesn’t sound very sincere, but what can I expect from you anyway?

UCRUCR, does UCRUCR teach you anything about logic or semantics? You have not once directly addressed my arguments, instead resorting to correcting small, irrelevant “errors” and ignoring the bigger issue. Can you please tell me why UCRUCR is the 4th oldest UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, and yet it is surpassed by UCSD, UCD, UCI, and UCSC in most if not all rankings? Again, I say to you: “How long does it take to get their act together?” Please, UCRUCR, don’t let me come away from this post without a solid answer, please, I’m begging you…

Berkeley 1868
UCSF 1873
Davis 1908
UCSB 1909
UCLA 1919
UCR 1954
…

Should we count together? 1…2…3…4…5…6…got it?

Ignorance is bliss.

UCR’s enrollment exceeded 1,000 students by the time Clark Kerr became president of the UC system in 1958.[21] Anticipating a “tidal wave” in enrollment growth required by the baby boom generation, Kerr developed the California Master Plan for Higher Education and the Regents designated Riverside a general university campus in 1959.[22] UCR’s first chancellor, Herman Theodore Spieth, oversaw the beginnings of the school’s transition to a full university and its expansion to a capacity of 5,000 students. UCR’s second chancellor, Ivan Hinderaker led the campus through the era of the free speech movement and kept student protests peaceful in Riverside.[23] According to a 1998 interview with Hinderaker, the city of Riverside received negative press coverage for smog after the mayor asked Governor Ronald Reagan to declare the south coast air basin a disaster area in 1971; subsequent student enrollment declined by up to 25 percent through 1979.[16][23][24] Hinderaker’s development of innovative programs in business administration and biomedical sciences created incentive for enough students to enroll at Riverside to keep the campus open.[23][25]

There happy. Plus the inland empire until recently has been a agricultural region so in theory UCR is a new school. now go on a celebrate your little victory. I wished you high school critics could come and take a class here and then open you immature mouths afterwards.

Jason, it’s Tamasi, Rollo Tamasi. You’re my trollee so I think you should know: I’ve ■■■■■■■ a lot of people. Some SDers in the SD board… uh, some SC people- maybe 5 or 10- um a UCI girl I met in Villa Park. I ■■■■■■■ her in a parking lot behind some donut shop. And Paul Allen. I ■■■■■■■ Paul Allen with an axe in the face; his pride is dissolving in a bathtub in Hell’s Kitchen.

And, UCR (times 2), thanks for sharing with us what you really watch in your spare time.

OK. Let’s do it your way, UCRUCR. Since you wanted to count these UCs before they even became UCs, let me give you a revised list:
Berkeley 1868
UCSF 1873
UCR 1907
(Founded in 1907 as the UC Citrus Experiment Station, Riverside pioneered research in biological pest control and the use of growth regulators responsible for extending the citrus growing season in California from four to nine months. -Wikipedia)
Davis 1908
UCSB 1909
UCLA 1919

So, according to your goddamn standards, you have just successfully moved UCRUCR from 4th to 3rd. Now, babu, can I please have my answer?

I love how you conveniently used the UC establishment date for UCRUCR yet kept the original establishment dates for the other schools. UCRUCR must teach you alot about integrity and solid research.

“Have I done my job, up to your goddamn standards? Because according to my standards, you fit the model of drug-seeking behavior.” - Madolyn Madden, The Departed

smh. I hope this bashing makes you feel better GracedPrensence

It’s not my god damn standard. However, you did give me a whole lot of your god damn standard. I go by the table on Wiki page. Since you have problem counting to six, I am sure you don’t mind me taking their words rather than yours, right?

There is a reason why they go by a certain year and not the year you stated…wow, i even try to reason with you…I gotta quit this.

What table, sir? The only thing close to the table you speak of that I see on the wiki page is a section with the pictures of the 10 UC campuses with their founding years in parantheses below each picture…According to that “table” UCR is the 4th oldest campus not including UCSF.
Honestly, YOU are the answer to the question posted by the OP. YOU are where the stereotype for UCR comes from. You come here with your UCR fanboy crap, throwing around irrelevant stats and whatnot trying to rationalize why UCR sucks. But, I ask you a very simple question, and you can’t give me a straight answer.

Please prove me right by responding to this without an answer to my question. Please do. It’s clear you’ve lost. You are GONE GONE GONE! FEEL THA POWA! YOU FEEL MY POWA BABY?

“You and your bull**, you got a bull** answer for everybody, but I ask you a very simple question and you can’t give me a straight answer, cause you don’t know.” - Sean McGuire, Good Will Hunting

So we’ve established that you can’t count to six and you can’t scroll down on a page? palm face

I can’t take this anymore.
