Haha, “or else.”

Dad: Lafayette College, then Jefferson Medical College
Mom: Duke University

Mom: UC Berkley, Tufts/Harvard for grad school.
Dad: UCSB for undergrad. UC Berkley but grad school.

My parents met at Bowling Green State University in Ohio for undergrad. My mom went to grad school at the University of Pittsburgh, and my dad went to grad school at Northwestern.

My dad never finished high school. I think he got a GED, but I’m not sure. He’s pretty intelligent, but he was sort of a rebel kid who hated being “fenced in” and all that. He actually left high school to go work for a sales company after lying about his age.

I think my mom went to Pomona College for a bit but had to drop out for mental health reasons… She later got her masters at the University of Florida and is pretty successful.

My parents went to and met at a small Jesuit liberal arts school in upstate New York, twelve hours from where I live. It’s called Le Moyne College.
It’s too small, too expensive, and too far away for me to consider.

BUMP 10char

SUNY Albany. My mom almost went to Cornell but her parents decided not to pay for her college ed a week before deadline.

Mom: U of Manitoba (in Canada), but dropped out.
Dad: U of Manitoba

Neither of my parents went to college, so I’m first generation. I really hope I get accepted into my first choice college (Wellesley) and then get to go to a really good graduate school (Ivy League). My parents will be really proud :D

My mother quit from a Biology program at UIUC when she couldn’t handle the math and my dad has a BA in (snicker) Humanities from Jacksonville University. It is not likely that I am going to Pa’s alma mater.

mom: stanford
dad: princeton

They didn’t.

Neither of my parents finished high school.

Mom:college in nigeria, med school in london
dad: college in nigeria, dental program in london and finished in pittsburgh

Dad: USC Mom: None

Mom: CUNY John Jay
Dad: Random college in Ghana then went to med school in Soviet Union but the area is now in Ukraine

Oh, so THAT’S why everyone here is wants to go to a top school so badly. Otherwise they’d be less than their parents.

My parents went to Chinese colleges and SUNY Stony Brook for grad school on scholarships.

^I agree. There are tons of kids and parents on here who went to elite schools, it’s crazy. I know nobody who went anywhere better than Michigan.

Mom: college in Indonesia
Dad: emory for 2 years, dropped out (jokes on my username, ha ha ha.)
