Yo! My senior year is finally here, and I think it's about time I figure out where I stand in terms of likelihood of college acceptance.

My top college choices:

Cornell Engineering (ED)
Upenn
Stanford
Berkeley
University of Virginia
University of Southern California
MIT
Harvard

SATs -2210 (730 CR/740m/740W)
SAT II's - Will take Physics and Math II in fall. I'm expecting something like 750 or above in both

GPA and School rank 3.97 unweighted, 4.72 weighted (1 B in my life)
Class Rank 3 of 477 (Suburban public school that sends a few kids to top schools)
AP scores: AP US History 5, AP English 5, AP BC Calc... I don't wanna talk about it.
Taking 5 AP classes this year- the most rigorous course load at our school.

Extracurriculars:

Newspaper Business Manager and Writing Editor (10th, 11th, 12th) (in the first week this year, I made $ 1600 in ad contracts)
NHS member and elected president (11th, 12th)

Tutoring, community service stuff, etc.
A job as manager of the Kansas City Institute of Chinese language and Culture (11th, 12th)

Essays/recommendations

I normally write what I consider very strong essays- when I applied for NROTC, my writing was highly praised as "efficient and effective." I have some potentially very strong recommendations from AP English and my Newspaper Teacher.

Other stuff:

1st Generation Chinese American male from Kansas
Took 3 years of French, and 2 of Chinese
Most likely will be a National Merit Scholar, Semi-Finalist at the very least

-I recieved a NROTC Instant scholarship reservation, where they flew in an officer to interview me and one other kid, and would be attending using that as long as I pass the physical and background checks in a few weeks. Would colleges care at all about ROTC? At the very least, I wouldn't need to worry about financial aid for tuition.

If there's anything else you guys need me to post to get a better picture, just ask! I'd like your guys' opinions on my current chances, and what you think I could do better. Thanks!
