I think you exceed UT-Austin's standards by far (their 75% SAT is 1990...which you exceed by over 200 points). I also think that you have a good chance at Rice, since you have the stats and the extracurriculars. Hell, shoot higher.

I'm a junior too; take my words with several grains of salt.

What other schools would you recommend? I am afraid of going out of state because I think it might be more money than my family could handle because I still need to save up for med school. Also, I forgot to list my GPAs... my Weighted is 4.11 and my unweighted is 3.60

bump......................

well rice is a private so you wont save much money.
i think you have a good shot at rice and ut austin is definetly a safety.

as for other schools, you can check out Johns hopkins, washington u in saintlouis, u virginia, northwestern. ucberkely (is good but its hard to get in out of state), the claremont colleges.
if you get financial aid you migth not end up paying too much. liberal arts schools are generally better with financial aid. imo i think its worth the debt to go to a good school.

is it possible that i might be able to get a full ride to UT austin?

sorry idk much about texas. you can check in the ut austin forum though.

do u want to do rice 7 yr med? if so then thats as competitive as the ivies, but rice regular u'll def be good. if u get in..save the med school additional tuition
