Where do we get the essay's topic and where do we get online applications?
Do every college have every online applications and we have to apply for each college?
I'm confused and help me!

Many colleges are on the common app; http://www.commonapp.org

For other schools, you should be able to go to the school's website and get the essays and/or apps.

It would be easier to answer your question if you identify what college you are interested in...

I'm interested in Rutgers(new Brunswick),John Jay criminal justice, NYU, Penn state(university park), John hopkins, Georgetown, SUNY(buffalo),Columbia, and Rochester

A lot of colleges want students to apply online which makes it a challenge to download an application packet, assuming that a hardcopy is even available.

You may have to create a username and password in order to have access to any application information.

Go to the university website and check out the undergraduate or first-year student info on the Admissions web page.

Rutgers
http://admissions.rutgers.edu/0201AppInstructions.asp#4201.asp

NYU
http://admissions.nyu.edu/applying_for_admission/

Penn State
http://www.psu.edu/dept/admissions/#

...you can reseach the rest...

Thanks a lot!! Should I use the common application and how does this website work?

I'd rather not make a new thread and waste space, so I suppose I'll just ask here...I apologize for highjacking the thread!!!

My question is, are colleges more prone to liking your application more when it's submitted via their actual app rather than common app? I think all the schools I'm considering are on common app...does this mean I should go forward and just do the common app (with the appropriate supplements, of course)? Is there ever a situation where the majority of school applications one is applying to can be completed by common app, yet the student opts to do each individual application...as in, does this give the applicant some sort of leverage over common-app'ers?

Sorry to be naive, but maaaaybe there's a slight chance of priority for those who don't common app...? I might be totally wrong, truthfully I have no clue...I'm merely really curious, and need to find out for my own benefit.

Thanks a lot :)

if they accept the common app, they can't discriminate based on which you use ... use whichever you feel more comfortable with.

are you slow? use google at least. why would you even post such a silly question?

I just wanted to be perfect and your questions is ridiculously rude.
You never talked to people like that~

Actually, asayed is right. Google first!

I just wanted to be perfect, I guess I was wrong, however he shouldn't say that
