Where should I apply? Help, please!

GPA: 4/4

Class rank: 1/120

I'm in UAE, so no AP/Honors.

SAT: 1810, retaking will most definately get 2k+ (won't make the mistake I made on the first one)

SAT 2: Giving tests in Math 1 and Physics in the coming months. Scores will be 670+.

ECs:

IT: HTML, Adobe programs, etc...

Held 2 positions in inter-school competitions.

Volunteer work:
- Shool recycling
- Adopt-A-Camp

Total is less than 100 hours though.

School Magazine: I've been part of interviews with royalty, university professors, newspaper editors, etc.

Sports: Soccer, cricket, and basketball. But no varsity lettters here. Does playing in a club count?

Job: Haven't done any yet; any suggestions? (if needed)

But one important thing: I can only afford 35k/yr.

I'll be an international student so I doubt I'll be given any Financial Aid.

Would you prefer a large LAC or a large university, what possible majors you’d like to pursue, where in the US you’d like to be? There’s a lot of factors when it comes to finding colleges. Also try using the college match feature on this site to kind of get an idea of the type of college you want.
[College Search - College Confidential](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_search/)

College size doesn’t matter. Location doesn’t matter. It shouldn’t be religiously affiliated. I intend on majoring in medicine.

Schools around $35,000 or less per year for Out of State costs…some of these give merit to international students…check each website for details.

Iowa State
U Minnesota
Nebraska
Wyoming
U Montana
Montana State University
Ohio State University

Check the International Students forum for lots of information on schools that are good with aid to internationals. This issue gets discussed a lot.

There are tons of U.S. schools that meet your description! Do you have any other criteria that can be applied? Have you browsed through the pre-med forum yet? Tons of advice there…

^ Thanks, I’ll have a look.

On a sidenote: I found out that a few other things I can set in ECs:

I speak 3 languages and can read/write 2 more.

I have taken classes in IT: HTML, Adobe softwares, etc.

I have taken novice art classes: Basic pottery, sketching, painting, etc.
