It is unlikely you’ll be accepted to UF, but there are a lot of other good schools in Florida. FIU, North Florida, West Florida.

I agree with @twoinanddone.

FSU and UF seem to be reaches with your academic credentials (particularly the GPA), but there are plenty of other universities in Florida that will be happy to have you. I am a Florida resident and a lot of my friends. some with GPAs very similar to yours (low 3s unweighted) have gotten into USF, which appears to be pretty popular.

UMiami, Uf, and FSU are reaches.
Eckerd, Rollins, USF are matches
FIU honors is a low match depending on scores.
Stetson, utampa, FIU are safeties

Also, is UF really a lottery?

What do you mean?

ive heard on multiple occasions that once you meet the requirements for UF, its a lottery from there

UF isn’t a “lottery”. UF has a very holistic admission process. About 50% is based on academics (with GPA and class rigor being most important), and about 50% is based on non-academic factors (EC’s, volunteering, work, first time in college, etc.). You first need the grades to be a accepted, and then the non-academic factors come into play. The better your academic factors, the less important become the non-academic factors (though they still are important!), the worse your grades, the more you need to depend on non-academic factors.

Being holistic, makes UF seem a bit random in admissions, since it’s hard to weight those non-academic factors. You may see one student with lower grades/test scores is accepted over another with better scores, but what you don’t see is the non-academic factors of both students…

Either way, normal admissions to UF is a reach, based on your GPA. UF does have two programs that have lower admission standards, Innovation Academy and PaCE.

These programs are NOT for everyone, so review them carefully (including which majors are supported).

Otherwise, note that about a quarter of UF’s undergrads are transfer students from CC’s. Transferring into UF is an option (but accounting is very competitive!).

Otherwise, the other Florida publics all have solid accounting and psychology programs. You may want to make sure they also offer Marketing.

This admission Matrix is handy for reviewing the admission requirements for each Florida public university.

Good Luck!
