<p>Re the ECs, “going to the next level” means doing something above and beyond putting in a lot of hours. It means making a unique contribution (or two) in an area (or two) that differentiates you from all your peers (peers who are comparably educated, from the same social milieu, with similar opportunities). So being a musician is great - but winning a national level competition or putting a record out would be differentiating. Doing research is terrific - but being, in the estimate of your professor - one of the most gifted students he or she has had the pleasure of mentoring, is differentiating. Having a job is good - starting your own successful company is differentiating. Helping the poor by going on a social service mission in a foreign country or two is personally rewarding - but finding a way to change how social services are delivered to a segment of your own community and becoming a champion of this community is differentiating.</p>

<p>oh never heard of those colleges but yeah, my dad graduated from DOW, mom, from NED, and some cousins who graduated from there. and yea their from karachi, but i was born in california</p>
