I can not afford the full costs of an usa university meaning that I can only look at need blind, need aware , and schools that offer a lot of financial aid. I won many national and regional competitions( 1st place at the physics national symposium, twice , 3rd place at a debate competition twice, honorable mention at the biology olympiad, 1st place at many other physics, biology, french and science high school competitions) , i've always been the first from my class , i've had an internship and a job and i've been vicepresident of the student mediators . i've also done a lot of volunteering. I am going to take the sat II on world history and math l2, where i'm planning on getting a good score. Besides the shortage of money, another weak point is my act score . i think my act score will be something around 25 , but i am also retaking it and i am aiming for a 30-31.
What schools should i apply to? Do i have any chances of getting into a need blind university?

Tell us what your GPA (or your average in A,B, C. etc). your high school courseloads…

You have good ECs but 25 is too low. For you, aim for at least 33.

How much can you pay per year?

How much can you afford?
The answer will determine most of the universities’ decision… :s

You will not be accepted by international need blind schools, they are only a few and all top schools in USA. You might be able to get free ride scholarships, with act 25 your options are VERY limited.

I’m an A student ( 4.0 GPA I guess, but not sure) . I’m retaking the ACT and my score will be above 30 . I’m also taking SAT II in December .
The only need-blind university I am hoping to get accepted at is Amherst. I am also applying at Williams, Vassar, Smith, and maybe Cornell. Do you think I have any chances ?

I’ve also taken very demanding courses in high school. We call them intensive maths and computer programming courses, also four years of physics, chemistry, biology, social sciences, history, and foreign languages.

How much can you pay per year?

My family doesn’t really have an income. I guess a few thousand dollars ( somewhere between 5000- 10000 $) , but I’m planning to work so I can pay for college. Loans have also occurred to me, but I don’t have anyone in the US to guarantee for me

Retake act or sat come back with improvement. Right now there is no chance for Amhurst.
