Where should I go?

Ok. Ive been admitted to U. Texas, Texas A&M, UC Berkeley and Boston University.

I m a tx resident so in terms of money, ut and a&m look good.

berkeley and bu are going to be in the region of 40 to 50k.

so my question is that if im simply going for pre-med, does it really matter where i go.

at first, i was leaning towards berkeley as it is a well respected and good school but the thought of spending 160-180k for 4 years is a bit too high considering the fact that ill hopefully be going to med school. bu is the same story.

now with ut and a&m, its all gonna be under 60k i think.

btw, i didnt apply for financial aid as my family's income didnt meet the criteria. and my parents are already putting my bro through law school. i just dont want to be an unneccesary burden just to have a name like berkeley or bu next to my name.

any help?

U T.

bump please

cally b!!!!

Eliminate a&m and bu. your choice should be between texas and berkeley. have you visited berkeley? if it's a better fit, and you can afford it, go for it.

why eliminate a&m? just wondering.. i know its not considered to be a top school, but would it hurt me in the long run?

i think its gonna be down to ut or a&m.

which is better for pre-med and where i can do some research? personally, i think a&m has a more "home" atmosphere and all.

bottom line, if im gona go to med school, does it matter where i go to undergrad, say if one has good mcat scores and a good backgroud?

bump .............
