Where to go from here

I am a freshman at Umass Dartmouth, finance major. First semester I had a 3.8 gpa; I'm in the honors program, finance club, investment club and Students in Free Enterprise. My high school record is abysmal and my SATs are like 1600/2400.

I was really just hoping to transfer to Northeastern's College of Business Administration. But I would like to consider more options possibly. I was also wondering on this:

Since I am just in my second semester currently and the application for NEU is due may 1st do they see my 2nd semester stuff? Because if you complete 2 semesters of college they don't require high school grades, is it 2 semesters at the time of your application?

Last semester I took all 101's, this semester I am taking 231-Microecon and 232-Macroecon, I will have almost all of NEU's prerequisites completed. (31 credits after my freshman year.)

Thanks.

I’m pretty sure it’s 30 credits at the time of application, but don’t take my word for it. Call the admssions office for verification.

yes. they would probably want a mid year report to see how you are doing. When i transferred there i applied during second semester. They also accept second year freshman so i don’t think credits matter. Just check their transfer credit evaluation with your school to make sure all the credits go through.

yeah i am definitely calling in on monday, anyways, suggestions for other schools to apply to?

Some other good b-schools would be BU or Bentley

Yeah I was considering those

how are my chances at northeastern looking? would they be better at BU or Bentley?

you have a pretty good chance at northeastern. Though CBA is difficult for people to get into but definitely a good shot.
