There are lots of threads from people wondering about different colleges or whether they would fit in one or the other. There are plenty of resources online, but we don't know them all. I want to open this thread so that we can discuss what the best search sites are, or what has worked for different people.

Hopefully we all find it helpful.

I'll suggest CTCL, of course:

Colleges That Change Lives

Many great schools that take a range of students. Amazing programs. Some of the colleges also have awesome grad school rates (e.g. Reed, College of Wooster, Evergreen).

:)

princetonreview.com. They have this thing counselomatic (or something to that effect) where you put in your scores/grades, desired geographical locations, types of school you want, etc... and it spills out a bunch of possibilities. You can then check out each suggested school via their stats.

I think one of the most important things when looking for college is fit. How well does school fit with the person. There are two sites that take this approach to college search that I would like to recommend. One is The Princeton Review, which katliamom already mentioned and the other is myUsearch. Check them out and tell me what you think.
