Where will you guys go if...

Assuming that you want to get into either Berkeley or LA, where will you guys go if you get admitted to both? Where will you go if you get rejected by both?

If I get admitted to both I will choose UCLA! but if I get rejected from both, I will probably end up attending UCSD.

^^ Ditto to that.

I’ll choose Berkeley if I get into both and SD if I get rejected. I might also stay in CC another year if I don’t make it this time (hopefully not).

Berkeley, although it would be such a difficult decision to leave LA. If I get rejected by both I’ll likely go to Irvine.

UCLA

10char

UC Davis is my safety school

If I get accepted to both UCLA and Cal, Ill choose UCLA.

If its only Cal , Ill choose UC Davis.

I plan to become a research neuropsychologist and both UCLA and UC Davis have medical research facilities on campus. With Cal, I have to go to UCSF to do my undergrad med research. More convenient to have a med research facility on campus in my opinion.

UCLA for me. I only applied to Cal for fun and wouldn’t go there even if I got accepted.

If I get rejected from both, I’m going to UCI. :)

Pinoiako916: Are you sure there are medical research facilities at the Davis campus? The medical school and the medical center are both on a separate campus in Sacramento.

There are, I forgot to add that they are split between Davis and Sacramento. They have a shuttle service between davis and the med center in sacramento.

I’d choose Berkeley because I have some vendettas against UCLA and because Berkeley has a stronger East Asian Studies program.

If I get into both UCLA and Cal, I’d probably pick Cal. It’s a long way from home, but I can’t pass up the opportunity to go to such a prestigious school.

If I get accepted to UCLA and Berkeley I would pick UCLA because of the medical school next to it. I need to add some volunteer work in and do some other things so I can make my application competitive to the top medical schools.

blackmamba8-same reasons as you but I am not going to medical school. Goal is to get a PhD in neuropsychology with a concentration towards research.

Naniwa- what is your major?

Pinoiako: Really? That’s freaking awesome! I want to get into Neurology so it’s awesome to find someone who is interested in a similar field.

was pre-med but became fascinated in neuropsychology because I volunteer at a memory care facility that has patients with dementia, cerebral palsy, speech disorders.

Pinoiako: Good luck! We both have a hard road ahead of us but it’ll be worth it at the end.

you as a future MD and me a future PhD researcher.

Yup, I know how doctors get arrogant but I’ll try to be a humble one, lol.
