Rice
Wash U
UChicago
Northwestern
Cornell

Cornell
10char

Prefer Cornell.

University of Chicago

Northwestern.

Northwestern

UChicago

Rice

WUSTL

Northwestern

Cornell

U Chicago

WUSTL

Rice

why is rice so low on those lists?

Distance and heat, that's at least my reason. Put it in the north and it would probably be my 2nd or 3rd

1-2. Northwestern & UChicago
3. Cornell
4. Rice
5. WUSTL

Cornell is n00b

in terms of.....
weather?
social life?
size?
your potential major?

Cornell
2-3. UChicago, Northwestern (Might differ based on the major...well come to think about it, that would also affect my choice about Cornell and every other school)

Rice

WUSTL

Cornell

UChicago

Northwestern

Rice

Wash U

what do you want to do?

econ:
1. UChi
2. Cornell
3. NU
4. Washu
5. Rice

engineering:
1. NU
2. WashU
3. Rice
4. Cornell
5. UChi (doenst offer it)

personally, i (being interested in engineering/CS) would do
1. NU
2. Cornell
3. UChi
4. Rice (cheaper than WashU)
5. WashU

If you want to graduate with a high GPA, dont go to UChi. want the city, dont do Cornell. want beautiful campus do Cornell. Want suburbs do NU. want in the city, do UChi.

Cornell

Northwestern

UChicago

Rice

WashU (I really don't know anything about this school)

venkater: I would think Cornell would be best for engineering/CS?

go to chicago unless youre an engineering major

hi bball, I've seen some of your other posts. And of course only you can answer the q.

Just my 2 cents:

Cornell: Could end up liking even loving the place. Plenty of people aren't thrilled first semester or first year but through a set of circumstances things can change rapidly.

Well imo WashU and Northwestern, especially the latter, are Cornell-like.

Rice is different. But in my mind UChicago is the most different from Cornell. Which I think is the point if you are going to leave. So UChicago gets my vote.

Or stay at C, if it just can't work then transfer the next year. But make a new list for transfer schools.

Good luck!

Northwestern.
