where would you choose?

USC's TAP program vs Berkeley

I applied for bio major for both and i applied to TAP program(7~8yr pharmacy program that guarantees entrance to USC pharmacy school if i keep 3.2 gpa)
and got into both.

Right now, Im not really sure whether i want to be a pharmacist or not, but I know it will eventually be something med/pharmacy related...

I was leaning toward Berkeley for a while because I thought I would have quality college experience there with bright and brilliant ppl and professors with some opportunities to research in world renowned research facility. But since I got into TAP program, I thought it would be easier and bit more "stress-free" for me to study in USC versus fierce/intense competition/struggle for survival in Cal. I also got into Freshman Science Honors program...

The thing is that I am actually an international, so money is not much of an issue here...(berkeley and USC cost almost the same...)

Does anyone have any thoughts? seriously. I am more physically attracted to Cal, but thinking logically, I feel like I should go to USC for my future...

I would go to USC. You will have smaller classes, less competition, etc. and even if you are not 100% set on pharm school it is nice to have the option.

They are actually really similar schools. Berkeley has a better reputation, but, unless you are the most outgoing person in your hometown, you probably will get run over and will miss out on Berkeley's advantages. I hear you literally have to chase down profs to meet with them, and most classes are taught by TAs, because the world class profs do research in order to keep their jobs. In short, I'd go to USC. It would be happier. Also, LA kicks Bay Area's butt.

lol. I have been living here in LA for a while and am quite up for a change...:)

so you guys are all for USC...huh..

I suggest emory.

emory???.. hmmm i didn't even apply there tho:p

Well then, not applying to Emory was a huge mistake. I suggest calling the admissions office and begging for acceptance, or going on a hunger strike outside their office for 2 weeks until the accept you. And say Mr.Amazing sent you. Or tour the world for a year, then try the college thing again

hahahahaha
sure i'll try that later. but right now it's USC's TAP vs. Cal:(

I'd say pick USC

i think it's time for bummpppppp:D?

anyone else care to help out???:(
