I'm going to major somewhere in Art. Probably in Graphic Design or something.
I'm planning to take the Math 2, but I need one more.
Suggestions please? Thanks!

Take something you enjoy and you are taking this year. At the end of the this year, take the SAT II. If you enjoy history or English, take one of those.

I’m not interested in English or History though. :[
I want to take one that will help me get into a good college with that major but I’m not sure if any will benefit me.

It doesn’t seem like the subject matters for many majors, and some colleges use the ACT subjects instead of SAT II. DD ws admitted EA to Georgetown, which is one of the few schools that requires SAT II, before she her scores were available.

Would you consider yourself competent in a foreign language? Are you in any way interested in science?

Would a foreign language benefit me? I’m pretty good at Spanish but I’m not fluent in it.

In which classes do you do well on tests? Did you take the SAT? If so, what were your scores on each section? (If you did well on CR and/or writing, for example, you might do well on the Lit SAT II)

If no other SAT Subject Tests interest you from other areas, an exam in a foreign language would be a suitable option. I would suggest that you take the Spanish practice test from the College Board’s Official Subject Test manual.

Don’t listen to the incorrect argument of “if you did well on CR and/or writing, for example, you might do well on the Lit SAT II” That’s what I thought too! Well, let’s just say I fully disagree with that statement now ^_^

US History is one of the easiest to study for so is Biology E not M. Foreign Languages are something you try to avoid, I’ve heard. Personally, I’ve heeded that advice and haven’t taken a language one and you shouldn’t unless you are fluent or nearly fluent.

I did well on the SAT CR and that was my precise reason for adding the SAT Literature to my testing schedule. I would agree that classroom instruction in literature is sensible, but not essential. Yes, they are different tests with different (although not diametrically opposed) focuses. But without question, there is positive correlation between one’s SAT CR scores and performance on the SAT Literature.

As for foreign languages, being a native speaker is very useful, but again certainly not essential given each individual’s unique abilities. There are often many who score at the very top even though the language was merely something that they began in high school.
